You can just look at it and know that its time has come. Loud, hot, sooty, and expensive. Everything you don't want in you boiler heating system.

Corroded, leaky boiler piping
To do this gas boiler installation correctly, all of this old piping connected to the oil boiler had to go.

Because this Bradford-White Combi boiler vets thru the sidewall in PVC pipe, it can be placed anywhere. We moved the boiler out of a tiny alcove that made servicing very difficult into this open space on the back wall.

The green tank on the floor is the expansion tank. As the water in the system heats up on a cold day, it expands into this tank. When the system shuts off and the water cools, the tank pushes the water back into the system. Simple but cool.

After Straight On
The copper piping is all heating pipes. The red and blue PEX piping is domestic water pipes.
