Old gas furnace
This furnace is really ancient! It is only about 65% efficient and uses a chimney which can pose a carbon monoxide problem if the chimney ever clogs. It's got to go!
New gas furnace
That's a beautiful installation. The return ductwork to the right of the furnace is properly sized now and there is a filter rack so the client doesn't have to take the furnace apart to replace the filter. It fans in PVC pipe directly to the outside so there is no carbon monoxide risk. And 97% efficiency saves $$$ over 65% efficiency. This furnace has a blower that uses 66% less electricity than the old monster blower used.
Old air conditioner
Old, loud, inefficient, buried in mulch. Nothing good going on there.
New heat pump
This outdoor unit is virtually silent. The air discharges horizontally so leaves and junk don't fall into it. We raised it up off the pad to keep it out of the mulch and snow. You can also see the termination of the PVC vent pipes from the furnace to the left of the heat pump. Looks great and works great!
