This water heater replacement helped the client gain needed floor space in the basement. It also replaced a 54% efficient tank-type water heater with a 95% efficient Bradford-White tankless water heater. Endless hot water for almost 50% less operating cost. Brilliant decision!
This client in Turnersville was using expensive electricity to heat both their home and hot water. We installed a 95% efficient Bosch tankless water heater that not only provides hot water for bathing, washing, etc. but also heats the house. Monthly utility bills in the winter were reduced by over 60%! And look how much space was saved in their utility room.
After visiting our booth at the Voorhees, NJ home Show this Cherry Hill, NJ homeowner explained how their current furnace was so loud and they had various uncomfortable rooms in their home. Knowing this information we recommended a FREE home Energy Audit that would provide many solutions. They set an appointment on the spot for Our Certified Energy Consultant to do a FREE Energy Audit. After taking into account the climate, size, design, and construction of the home the Audit revealed making a few upgrades will give this home more than 30% in total energy savings. The upgrades included a new Amana Furnace 96% (AFUE), Amana Central Air Conditioning unit, a .96% UEF Bosch Tankless Hot Water Heater, and Blown in Cellulose insulation in the Attic. this homeowner was able to take advantage of the max amount of rebates/financing options that the state is offering at this time.
Current rebates/financing options:
New Jersey homeowners may receive up to $4,000 in financial incentives now until June 30, 2019. You may also qualify for 0% interest financing (up to $10,000 with a 7-year maximum term) or 4.99% financing (up to $15,000 with a 10-year maximum term) to help pay for the energy-efficient upgrades!
After 20-years it was time to replace this electric water heater. But the homeowner wanted to fix a nagging problem as well: long waits in the kitchen for hot water to reach the sink. The house was built on a concrete slab floor and the water pipes were buried in the concrete. This meant that every time the hot water was turned off, the hot water pipe lost it's heat to the concrete. Getting hot water to the kitchen sink meant draining all the cold water out of the pipe in the slab before the kitchen tap would run hot. Very frustrating!
So when we installed a high efficiency Bradford-White water heater we also installed a Taco Hot-Link recirculation system. This system includes a pump at the water heater and a special valve installed under the kitchen sink. The pump circulates hot water thru the Hot-Link valve under the sink where it returns to the water heater tank via the cold water line. When the valve sensing hot water has arrived, it closes so the hot water does not fill the cold water line. It's a simple solution. The homeowner now gets hot water instantly at the kitchen tap. Frustration is defeated!
